Details

1966/67 SA 5 in Cherry Red. Very early SA 5 with low serial: no. 20. Different head stock logo: the SG logo Yamaha used during the time the first SA’s were made. Nothing indicates is wasn’t factory made. There is a pic added with a similar headstock logo from a SG12 that comes from a 1966 combined flyer for the SG12 and the SA5.

Also missing is the “Yamaha” engraved in the tailpiece. The balancer knob misses the middle notch. And all knobs, identical with the knobs on my other SA5 and 50’s, miss the indication volume, tone etc.

For the rest just a normal SA5, including the binding at the horns and the heel of the neck, and the small PU’s.
